Dynamo Belt
The dynamo belt is a crucial component that transfers the rotational energy from the engine to the dynamo (alternator). The belt wraps around a pulley connected to the crankshaft. As the engine starts and the crankshaft rotates, the belt also begins to move, transferring rotational energy to the dynamo.
The dynamo, a type of generator, converts this energy into electricity, charging the battery to provide the necessary power for various electrical components in the vehicle. Although the main function of the dynamo belt, as the name suggests, is to transfer rotational energy from the engine to the dynamo, in modern vehicles, both the timing belt and the dynamo belt also drive other engine components, such as the water pump, power steering pump, oil pump, air conditioning compressor, and more.
