Alternator Belt
Description: The alternator belt is responsible for transferring the engine’s rotational energy to the alternator. This belt wraps around a pulley connected to the crankshaft. As soon as the engine starts and the crankshaft begins to rotate, the belt moves accordingly and transfers rotational power to the alternator. The alternator, which functions as a generator, converts this mechanical energy into electrical power and charges the battery to supply electricity to various vehicle systems. Although the primary function of the alternator belt is to transmit rotational power to the alternator, in modern vehicles this belt also helps drive other engine components such as the water pump, power steering hydraulic pump, oil pump, air conditioning compressor, and other related parts.
