Dynamo Belt Description
The dynamo belt is a component that transmits the rotational energy from the engine to the dynamo. This belt is wrapped around a pulley that is connected to the crankshaft. As the engine starts and the crankshaft rotates, this belt also begins to move, transferring the rotational energy to the dynamo. The dynamo, which is a type of generator, converts this energy into electricity and charges the battery to provide the electrical power needed by various parts of the vehicle.
While the main function of the dynamo belt, as its name suggests, is to transfer the engine's rotational energy to the dynamo, in modern vehicles, the dynamo belt, along with the timing belt, also drives other engine components such as the water pump, power steering pump, oil pump, and air conditioning compressor.
