Megadyne MEGAFLEX Timing Belts
Megadyne MEGAFLEX timing belts are made from thermoplastic polyurethane reinforced with continuous spiral steel cords. Designed by our research and development team, this belt type offers excellent performance characteristics and high tensile loads.
These belts are particularly suitable for power transmission and transport applications involving heavy loads and high speeds (up to 10,000 RPM). Adding a nylon fabric covering to the teeth during production enhances performance for specific applications and reduces the coefficient of friction and noise. Additional special backing thickness is also available for greater protection against heavy or corrosive products.

MEGAFLEX belts are produced to customer-specified lengths. They are especially well-suited for high-load, high-speed power transmission and conveyor applications.
Main Components
Body The belt body is made from white thermoplastic polyurethane with 92 Shore A hardness, known for high abrasion resistance even under shock loads and load fluctuations.
Cords Zinc-coated steel tensile members are helically wound, enabling high breaking loads and very low elongation. These cords are available in various materials, including Kevlar, stainless steel, HF, HP, HPF, and stainless steel HP.
