Alternator Belt
Description: The alternator belt transfers the engine’s rotational energy to the alternator. It wraps around a pulley connected to the crankshaft, so when the engine starts and the crankshaft rotates, the belt moves and delivers power to the alternator. The alternator, functioning as a generator, converts this energy into electricity to charge the battery and supply power to various vehicle systems. While the primary function of the alternator belt is to transmit engine power to the alternator, in modern vehicles it also drives other engine components such as the water pump, power steering pump, oil pump, and air conditioning compressor.
