Round Belts (Poly Cord Belts)

Round belts are belts with a circular cross-section used for power transmission or material handling in industrial systems. Thanks to their high flexibility and ability to operate on twisted paths, they hold a special place in various industries. Round belts are typically made from materials such as rubber, polyurethane, or other elastomers and are often reinforced with cords or fibers for greater strength and durability.
Poly cord (round) belts are available in solid or hollow forms, with solid belts being more commonly used in Iran. Solid round belts can be produced with or without internal cords to provide the required tensile strength, in various sizes, and with smooth or rough surfaces.

Technical Specifications

Diameter: Variable from 2 to 20 mm, depending on the application.
o Light material handling: 4 to 8 mm.
o Low-load systems: 2 to 5 mm.
Length: Customized to the transmission path (as endless loops), typically 1 to 20 meters.

Material

Polyurethane (PU): Abrasion-resistant, suitable for temperatures from 0°C to +80°C.
o Hardness: 70 to 90 Shore A (balancing flexibility and strength).
Maximum Tension: 10 to 50 N/mm².

Joining Method

Thermal welding at 200–250°C, achieving up to 80% of the original belt strength.

Applications in Other Industries
