Dual-Sided Timing + Poly-V Belts (One Side Timing, One Side Ribbed)

Dual-sided belts with timing teeth on one side and Poly-V ribs on the other, also known as hybrid timing + Poly-V belts, are among the most specialized types of belts. They are widely used in sensitive and high-demand industries, particularly in flour and bakery applications. Thanks to their dual design, these belts can perform two different functions simultaneously, making them essential in specialized machinery within these sectors.

Structure of Timing-Poly-V Belts

One side features timing teeth (typically in profiles H, T, AT, or GT) for precise synchronization and timing of mechanical movements between machine components.
The other side has V-shaped ribs (similar to Poly-V profiles J, L, or M) designed for power transmission, tension, or high mechanical friction.
The belt core is usually reinforced with steel or Kevlar cords, and the covering is made from high-quality polyurethane (PU) or rubber.

Applications in the Flour and Bakery Industry

These belts are commonly used in bakery and pastry machinery, such as:
Dough mixer conveyors
Dough sheeting lines
Rounding and shaping machines
Mold transfer devices
The reasons for their widespread use include:
Precise Motion Synchronization (via the timing side) Essential for equipment requiring accurate timing, such as dough rolling or pressing.
Appropriate Friction or Tension (via the ribbed side) Ensures slip-free gripping and transport of dough sheets or finished products, especially on conveyors.
Space Savings A single belt handles two tasks simultaneously, eliminating the need for two separate belts.
