Timing Idler Pulley
Description: This component is an important and consumable part of a vehicle’s engine. It consists of a bearing and a plastic roller on which the timing belt rides. It is usually replaced during timing belt service or replacement. Failure of this component can cause serious engine damage, including timing belt breakage and bent valves. Early roller failure can result from dirt or water entering, or engine oil leaking into the timing belt cover. The first sign of roller failure is noise in cold weather. It is recommended to purchase timing kit products as a complete set.
