Timing Idler Component (Translation)
This part is one of the important and consumable components in the car engine, which consists of a bearing and a plastic roller on which the timing belt is mounted. It is typically replaced during the timing belt service and replacement.
Failure of this part can cause serious damage to the engine, leading to timing belt breakage and, eventually, valve misalignment. The failure of the roller at low mileage can result from the entry of dirt or water, or oil leakage into the timing belt casing.
The first sign of roller failure is the sound it makes in cold weather. It is recommended to purchase a complete timing kit for better reliability.
